Business Funding FAQs | Nationwide United States
Clear, educational answers for U.S. business owners. We serve businesses in all 50 states. We do not guarantee approval, rate, amount, or timeline.
What does The Capitol Fund do?
We help business owners understand funding options and connect with lenders or financing partners that may fit their profile. We are a broker/matchmaker, not a direct bank or the SBA.
What is the difference between MCA, line of credit, equipment financing, and SBA?
An MCA advances against future receipts and can be faster but costlier. A line of credit lets you draw as needed and pay interest on use. Equipment financing is tied to an asset. SBA products may offer longer terms but typically need more documentation. Options depend on revenue, credit, industry, and urgency.
What documents do I usually need?
Expect recent business bank statements, legal business details, EIN, time in business, owner ID, and an application or credit authorization. Some paths need tax returns, P&Ls, AR aging, or equipment invoices.
What does 24–48 hour funding mean?
Some complete applications with a fitting product may receive a decision or offer in one to two business days. It is not a promise. Incomplete paperwork, weekends, lender backlogs, and complex deals can take longer.
Will you pull my credit?
A review may include a soft inquiry, hard inquiry, or both, depending on lender and product. We will explain authorization and pull type when known.
Who typically qualifies?
Profiles vary. Partners often look for active businesses with verifiable revenue and time in business; some require a personal guarantee. Qualification is never guaranteed.
Do you work nationwide?
Yes. Our Texas home base serves businesses across all 50 states. Start by phone or online from anywhere in the U.S.
Are you the Texas Capitol Fund or a government program?
No. The Capitol Fund is a private business-funding resource, not a state agency or government program.
How much does it cost?
Broker compensation is typically through lending partners when a deal funds, or any client-facing fee will be disclosed before you commit. Review APR, factor rate, fees, and repayment structure.
